Fluid Movement Workshop

In this class we will research our body inspired by the quality of fluidity. Fluid movement is similar to Sufi Whirling where we enter a trance of spinning. In Fluid movement we enter a trance where we are always liquid - everything moves all the time, no performance goals, the movement flows through the body without holding or going with our patterns.

What will we actually do? Move a lot, dance improvisation, dancing by imaginary visuals, working solo or partners or a group.

How did this start?

Fluidity started as a journey for me from workshops of Aragorn Bishop - hip hop / waving French dancer around 2017-2019 - in his workshops under the title Windstyle which I highly recommend. From there I took it on my own daily research in my own body as a daily practice and research for around 2 years and then kept it in my practice that I found great life healing in. Since then I started teaching it in a different way to his approach and found my own way of passing knowledge based on the practice he brought to my life.

Longer version:

"Within Saed’s simple instructions, there were so many gems. So many sentences you can use not only to refine movement but to refine the way you walk through life. I left the weekend feeling like there was more space between my vertebrae and a soft, stillness in my mind."

"...it was amazing! Saed is crafting with a master's mind the flow of the exercises, creating a safe and solid ground for research and movement investigation...it is approached from so many different angles, through visual, sensual and auditory channels, and leads to an experience of trance and circular energy flow. It felt like dreaming :) I loved the revolutionary methods Saed uses, to allow us go beyond our boundaries. There's a feeling of endless playfulness in the journey, which helps to facilitate the fluid philosophy, and connect it to mindfulness and the present moment. As a non professional dancer, I got so much insights in this retreat, and highly recommend it to both dancers and movers"

"If nothing else, the whole workshop is worth it just to see Saed move."

"The retreat was amazing for me! Saed's instructions made me discover my body and my movement more... Saed holds the space in a very professional way. I recommend it to everyone to go through a journey to research oneself through joy and playfulness..."

"A workshop quality isn't just measured by the quality of the material but by the quality of the teacher and how he holds space... Saed gave exercises and built the workshop step by step. A way to release the body through fun and joy. It was a mix of seriousness and silliness and the mix was fantastic!"

"There was a lot of time for self research"

"A new quality entered my body that I never felt before, more fluid and stable at the same time"

"When I finished the workshop I felt I was flying, as though I was tripping. I met myself fully, all the feelings inside of me. Open, loving, but mostly feeling. I was connected to myself and it stayed with me".

"The workshop was very accurate and special for me, it came at a time in my life where I was really worried about the fluidity of life. To learn a new way to move my body and surrender to that was an amazing experience...My boundaries of body and mind were pushed in the most beautiful and sensitive of ways"
